Bob Parker, the rancher from the small town of Raymondville, Missouri is throwing his hat in the 8th district congressional ring again. His 2010 bid for the seat earned him 35% of the Republican primary vote across the district against 15 year encumbent Rep. Jo Ann Emerson.

Parker, who has been endorsed by the Tea Party, has spoken at many events across Southern Missouri with his message of cutting spending and restoring fiscal sanity back in Washington.

Parker explains “Enough is enough. America can do better. It seems the Washington professionals in both parties are just too ingrained with the special interests and refuse to listen to the people. As a businessman I know we are being regulated and trade dealed to death. It seems no one is really working for the little guy anymore. I want to stand up for what is good and right for America. We must have free markets. Let’s stop the bailouts and balance the budget and get to work putting America back to work.”

She is married to a liberal Democrat who is a good friend of Obama. He is also the UNION lobbyist for SEIU, AFL-CIO and has gotten Rep. Emerson to co-sponsor legislation to bail out the UNION pension funds with YOUR tax dollars!

The liberal newspapers in this district will not tell you about the other side of Emerson as they support her liberal values.

Paging the Missouri Tea Party: Here’s One to Primary

I believe I must do two things to win the August Primary election against Emerson. One, expose her voting record as most do not know the facts as none of the media in this district reports on it.

Two, explain what I will do and what I stand for, check out my website and facebook page for more information about me or just call 417-457-6111 [my home phone].

I stand for smaller government, Right to Work, balance the budget and CUT spending, Pro life, Pro gun, eliminate the IRS and Dept of Education. Cut regulations on business and farmers. I oppose the ”free trade” deals that have destroyed our jobs. Emerson voted for ”permanent most favored trade nation” status for China, how is that working for you? I have run a business and lived in the 8th district since I was 20 years old [34 yrs ago], Emerson has done neither. She lives in St. Louis with her husband/lobbyist Democrat Att. Ronald Gladney. Most people in this district do not even know Emerson re-married years ago. This information has been kept from the public for the most part. I only mention this now because of the Union Pension bailout that Emerson Co-Sponsored, I want people to understand what is happening and the conflict involved. Emerson was endorsed by the Unions in the 2010 elections.

We are being destroyed my friends by this out of control government and taxes and regulation. Send me to Washington to fight for you! With 35% of the vote in the last primary we just need 16% more to win this time. I can be done, but not without your support. Please help me bring sanity back to Washington and let’s vote out the liberals in both parties that are destroying our Country.

Parker announces candidacy for Congress in Missouri’s 8th Congressional District

At the September meeting of the Texas county Republican party, Bob Parker, the rancher from Raymondville, announced he is again a candidate for Congress in Missouri’s 8th Congressional District, a seat that has been held by Rep. Jo Ann Emerson for the last 15 years. Parker, who ran against Emerson in the 2010 race, received 35% of the vote in the primary race, 4 times more votes than any other Republican challenger for this seat in the past. Parker has spoken at many tea party events and property rights meetings across the district in the past year. He was virtually unknown in many parts of the district before his campaign two years ago, but that is changing. Parker states, ”While I have been politically active locally for years, it is time to join the battle in Washington. We need someone who has run a business and actually lives in the 8th district to represent us in Congress. Wall Street bailouts, Cash for Clunkers, Union Pension bailouts, and raising the national debt limit even higher do not address the real problems of unemployment and our rampant national debt. Our current representative has voted for all of these. Washington is totally out of touch with rural America. Our businesses are being regulated and taxed to death. Our farmers and ranchers struggle under higher costs and thinner margins. President Obama’s tax, regulate, and spend policies continue to hurt the working class and are killing jobs in America. Enough is enough! ”

WHERE: SULLIVAN FAIRGROUNDS, SULLIVAN, MO

Take Interstate 44 west or east to exit 225. Take south outer service road west to Hwy D turn right on Progress Drive. Follow Progress Drive into Fairgrounds. Look for parking signs and attendants on the left.

We would like to invite all Missouri groups, coalitions and organizations as well as all citizens who are interested in responsible government and protecting the Constitution of the United States of America.

Many of us grew out of the very first Tea Party group in St. Louis as grass roots organizations while others have been advocating our messages much longer. But in the end our mission is one of solidarity.

While Congress has been on recess there have been many town hall meetings , individual events, gatherings and rallies. We would like to bring together as many representatives from as many groups as possible as one BIG RALLY to break the news media portrayal of us as “angry mobsters.”

Our program will include music, speakers, and a couple of “light hearted” surprises. You are also welcome to bring a picnic basket and cooler, or you may also go to one of the many fast food restaurants on the outer roads at the exit. Don’t forget this is a PINK SLIP PETITION RALLY! There will be a number of petitions on a variety of Bills that will be waiting for the “DC” crowd when they return! We are putting our elected officials on notice that if they are not going to listen to the will of the people and respect the Constitution of the United States then they will be receiving their PINK SLIP!
