Here is a rundown of the voting record of Rep. Jo Ann Emerson. These votes are in 2011! I keep hearing we need to keep calling and writing so that Rep. Emerson will vote more conservatively. The record speaks for itself. The fact is she is one of the most liberal Republican representatives in Washington and Heritage Action’s scorecard proves it!

Where did you see ANY of these votes in our media here in the 8th district? I wish they would report the record. Most voters are unaware of how they are truly being represented. We must get control of our spending. Rep. Emerson has voted for TARP twice. Cash for Clunkers twice. Voted to bailout the Union Pension funds with YOUR tax dollars, and voted to kill and research embryo’s with YOUR tax dollars! I will continue to expose this big government/big spending record. You will have a choice in the upcoming August primary. I sincerely ask for your support. Let’s stop this and send Washington a strong message, we have had enough. Time to balance the books. Bob Parker, Republican candidate for Congress in Missouri’s 8th District, met with voters at the Senior Center in Farmington on Tuesday night. Parker, who received some of his best support from Farmington voters in the 2010 primary election, is back again seeking additional support. After a speech about issues of interest to voters, Parker fielded questions from the crowd. The questions ranged from concern about the spending and debt America now has, to how new regulations on business could affect our jobs.

Parker states, ”The massive debt being accumulated in Washington is out of control. I would not have voted to raise the debt limit or approved of the 2011 Obama budget that funds Obamacare — as our current Representative has done. Enough is enough, America can do better!”

Republican Traitors Fail Again – Forced Unionism Did Not Pass

Union bosses, through their cohorts in Congress, want to force airline and railway workers into unions. Luckily their amendment to the FAA bill (HR 658) failed to pass in the House on Friday by a 220 to 206 vote.

Every Democrat voted for the LaTourette/Costello amendment; no surprise there. However, 16 Republican Congressmen voted for the amendment. These Republicans stand against freedom and they stand with the fat-cat union bosses who want to eliminate freedom and choice for American workers.

Currently, American workers enjoy the freedom to form a union or join a union – it’s their choice. Democrats and these 16 Republicans want to take away their right to choose and force them to be in a union if they want the job.

Paging the Missouri Tea Party: Here’s One to Primary

I believe I must do two things to win the August Primary election against Emerson. One, expose her voting record as most do not know the facts as none of the media in this district reports on it.

Two, explain what I will do and what I stand for, check out my website and facebook page for more information about me or just call 417-457-6111 [my home phone].

I stand for smaller government, Right to Work, balance the budget and CUT spending, Pro life, Pro gun, eliminate the IRS and Dept of Education. Cut regulations on business and farmers. I oppose the ”free trade” deals that have destroyed our jobs. Emerson voted for ”permanent most favored trade nation” status for China, how is that working for you? I have run a business and lived in the 8th district since I was 20 years old [34 yrs ago], Emerson has done neither. She lives in St. Louis with her husband/lobbyist Democrat Att. Ronald Gladney. Most people in this district do not even know Emerson re-married years ago. This information has been kept from the public for the most part. I only mention this now because of the Union Pension bailout that Emerson Co-Sponsored, I want people to understand what is happening and the conflict involved. Emerson was endorsed by the Unions in the 2010 elections.

We are being destroyed my friends by this out of control government and taxes and regulation. Send me to Washington to fight for you! With 35% of the vote in the last primary we just need 16% more to win this time. I can be done, but not without your support. Please help me bring sanity back to Washington and let’s vote out the liberals in both parties that are destroying our Country.

Parker announces candidacy for Congress in Missouri’s 8th Congressional District

At the September meeting of the Texas county Republican party, Bob Parker, the rancher from Raymondville, announced he is again a candidate for Congress in Missouri’s 8th Congressional District, a seat that has been held by Rep. Jo Ann Emerson for the last 15 years. Parker, who ran against Emerson in the 2010 race, received 35% of the vote in the primary race, 4 times more votes than any other Republican challenger for this seat in the past. Parker has spoken at many tea party events and property rights meetings across the district in the past year. He was virtually unknown in many parts of the district before his campaign two years ago, but that is changing. Parker states, ”While I have been politically active locally for years, it is time to join the battle in Washington. We need someone who has run a business and actually lives in the 8th district to represent us in Congress. Wall Street bailouts, Cash for Clunkers, Union Pension bailouts, and raising the national debt limit even higher do not address the real problems of unemployment and our rampant national debt.
