Got this December 10th from an 8th district resident kicked off of Emerson’s Facebook page. Seems Representative Emerson is a little sensitive to being held accountable. I wish the people of this good district would write their papers more and call into radio shows about the voting record of their Representative in Congress. I have found that media does not want to report on this because they fear it will hurt the earmark money that Emerson is bringing into their counties.

This is why it is so hard to take out incumbents. They have so many connections because of the money they bring back. Emerson is in the top 10 in Congress for earmarks. Over 100 million in earmarks this year for Emerson. The Republican party platform is against earmarks. I am against earmarks. With 435 in Congress this out of control spending is killing us.

I intend to hold Emerson accountable for her voting record that is one of bailouts, stimulus, clunkers, job killing trade deals, and on and on. Emerson has helped America get so far in debt we are now pretty much bankrupt. How is that workin’ for ya America?

Time for a ”Real” Conservative to represent the 8th district in Congress! We will win because the 8th district wants a ”Conservative” representative in Congress!

I think all of Emerson’s votes will ‘’stimulate” the voters, just not how she was wanting!

Take America Back!

Note: Just to be clear, we do not have the documents on this yet but choose to put this out now as by the time we get the documents this program will probably already be several weeks old according to Dr. Taylor Woods. This is what we have been told as of this morning 12/07/09.

Red Alert! Well, it seems we are finally here, USDA is finally mandating NAIS. Of course, they don’t call it NAIS. It is animal tracing or food safety or whatever convenient label to fool you. It’s is NAIS, the dreaded RFID mark that I wrote about 4 years ago. Any animal with this RFID tag must have the premise registration of it’s origin and whoever buys that animal in the future. Just this step will roll 90% or more of cattle owners into the program in the next two years. Any cattle that go through a sale barn will require premise registration starting January of 2010… three weeks from now! Without this mark, you won’t buy or sell your adult cattle in the sale barn for now, all of them anywhere later. Remember, 29 species are in this program when fully implemented, this is just the first phase. Register, Chip, then Track, everything, everywhere. Your papers please…

I have said this is coming, the USDA documents told all about it, now it appears it is here. I said two years ago that NAIS was being rolled into many existing animal health programs. As recent as this past summer my Congresswoman Emerson said they were trying to keep this ”voluntary” when it was being rolled into these programs, I heard her myself. I wrote then she didn’t have a clue or worse, just didn’t care. A local reporter was there. When I gave her the documents showing Emerson was not stating facts, the reporter said she didn’t feel like it was her job to take on Emerson… go figure America, this is the kind of reporting we have today. Just go along to get along.

Look what is happening now to our country. When someone speaks out, do you support them, or distance yourself from them? What happened to guts in America? Where is the spirit of our great founders? Where are the voices that cry, ”give me Liberty, or give me … oops, guess we can’t say that one anymore… too radical. We want calm leaders that never raise their voices and always have a smile on their face… how is that working for you America?

Our founders knew how out of control government could get. We are so far from our constitution now that our country is in for it. Government run health care, Cap and trade, the ”Climate Change” scheme to tax all production and energy. Food safety bills tracking your local head of lettuce from your garden to your neighbors picnic sandwich. America is sick, and I am sick of the leadership in America! Where are our ag leaders? Where is Farm Bureau? Farm Bureau’s members don’t want this program, why is the leadership silent for God’s sake?

Where the hell is the mainstream media? Why doesn’t anyone know about any of this? We are in a world gone mad. Send this to O’Reilly or Beck or Hannity or Rush or Palin or Begala or King or Olberman or Curic or Maddow or Stossel or Matthews, or the Republican party or the Dems leadership, they haven’t touched it yet as far as I know, I hope they finally do. Two million march on Washington and the mainstream media yarns. Thousands in Missouri are about to lose another huge part of personal freedom. Last week just outside my office the government installed ”traffic” cameras to watch us. They are all over the state now. They will keep us ‘’safe”. Big brother wants to watch your every move now. Government intrusion into our lives continues at an unprecedented rate. Why do you need camera’s in the most rural, least populated areas of the state, not to mention, I thought we were having some budget problems? Oh yeah, I forgot, we just print money now.

Obama and company march on. Our clueless Congress marches on. Who will stop them? Will it be you? Will it be me? Rise up my friends and vote them all out! Let’s have a tea party next year that Congress will never forget. Let’s throw them all over the side that have supported or failed to inform the people of these attacks on our freedoms. Our government is systematically taking America, and her freedoms apart.

History will show who really cared about our freedoms and who stood up and fought to keep them. We are all in this together really. I lose my freedoms, they come for yours next. First, they came for the cows. Welcome to the ranchers pearl harbor as we remember the attack on Peal Harbor. This program will destroy small farmers and livestock owners. The eventual cost will be astronomical. We must stop this program! I will not register my farm. This is just the first step of a horrific program that will destroy our food supply and our freedoms. Just look in your grocery store next time, how much food is imported into Missouri and America already?

Had enough yet?
Bob Parker
Congress 2010, Missouri 8th district

* * *

The following information was received just this morning verbally by the head Veterinarian of Missouri, Dr. Taylor Woods and is written by Doreen Hannes;

Many of you know something about this, but this is as accurate and up to the minute as I can get right now. I want people to know about it so they are not taken by surprise after January the 1st. Feel free to forward this, and do whatever digging you can do on your own. We will get to the bottom of it and get documentation, but we don’t have time to wait… Thank you, and God bless!!!

— NAIS is Contagious —

Interestingly enough, it’s Pearl Harbor Day — and so it is for Cattle

Last week I heard from someone who works at several sale barns in the area that one was currently tagging all breeding cows with 840 NAIS tags if they did not have the metal brucellosis tag in their ears. As of January 1st, 2010, they would tag all breeding stock going through the chute with 840 tags regardless of metal bruce tags that were already in the cow’s ear. The word was that this was ’some sale barns’ and ’some veterinarians’.

I’ve spent several days trying to get information and documentation on this, and this morning, our Missouri State veterinarian, Dr. Taylor Woods, was kind enough to call me and explain what is happening in fair detail.

According to Dr. Woods, in March or April of 2009, he received a notice from the USDA stating that in two weeks all federal funding for Brucellosis was to be cut off. This was rather a shock to him and he called and went all the way up to Dr. John Clifford. Clifford told him he should have received a notice regarding this in December of 2008. Dr. Woods told him that this was the first he had heard of it, and went on to ascertain that the reason for failure of notification was because Missouri has been 5 years brucellosis free. Dr. Clifford stated that he would allow funding to continue for Missouri until December 31st, 2009. At that time, all blood testing for brucellosis would cease and all breeding cattle would be identified at the market by the market veterinarian with the 840 tag. The 840 tags are currently provided by the USDA free to the state of Missouri, and will supplant testing and the metal Brucellosis tags at market.

Also, Doctor Woods said that as far as he is aware, this is what is going to happen in every single state. Also, that only Texas and Missouri have been collecting blood and actually testing for Brucellosis. He said that these 840 tags are NOT NAIS tags. Also, notably, that he is rather irritated to see a successful program of Brucellosis eradication going away and relying instead upon a tag that will not detect the disease. It is confirmed via a myriad of sources that there will be no more pulling of blood to check for brucellosis in several states. The USDA Veterinary Services (VS) is doing away with the brucellosis program to bring in the OIE (World Animal Health Organization) standards for trade on Animal Identification, which at the very least, according to the Guidelines of the OIE, will identify an animal back to the farm of origin or ‘premise’. These are the first two prongs of NAIS: premises registration, and animal identification. You cannot have 840 identification without going back to the ‘premises’. Doctor Woods told me that they would be using the sale barns (markets) as the premises. This is NOT supported by any documentation that is available anywhere.

Now, I am completely unable to find any other designation for the 840 tags other than one which links the identified animal back to the NAIS premises of the owner selling the cattle. For cattle, all 840 tags are radio frequency identification, the USDA is allowing 840 non RFID identification for hogs, otherwise all 840 is RFID and all 840 is linked back to the farm of origin or premises.

Again, this is to go into effect in all states beginning on January the 1st, 2010. Doctor Woods was kind enough to assure me that he would be happy to give me whatever correspondence and documentation he could find regarding this. The issue as I see it is that there is not much time at all before January 1st, and I certainly cannot wait the six weeks it took for my last request from the Missouri Department of Agriculture to be fulfilled. The USDA never gives out any information unless you possess the capacity to actually sue them for the information… at least not to the likes of me.

There are several States with statute constraining the implementation of NAIS and premises registration. Missouri is one of those States, and there appears to be a definite conflict here unless the documents can indeed support something other than premises registration under NAIS standards (you can call it what you like, NFAIP, USAIP, NAIS, NLIS, or whatever), this would indeed be construed as mandating or otherwise forcing participation in NAIS or any similar program by the State Veterinarians office and a case of the USDA forcing a State Department to violate statute to continue to participate in interstate commerce. The USDA is in violation of the APA at the very least.

At any rate, I wanted to get this information out despite the lack of paperwork to support this as there are many sources confirming the generalities of this and no one saying that 840 tags will not be used on cattle going through the chutes in the state of Missouri after January 1st, 2010.

When I do get the actual documentation, I will be sending it on to all interested parties. This is trickle down and up NAIS in full effect. 2010 is the year for OIE compliance on animal identification for the USDA. And first they came for the cows… Here they come, folks.

Watch that left hand, and the other side of the the mouth

Some very interesting information put together by Missourian veteran Terry Kinder about our 8th district Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson. I have found that the facts that are known about Emerson’s voting record are few and far between here in the 8th district. Have the Republican’s been telling you about Emerson’s voting record? No. Have the Democrats? Why would they, Emerson votes with the Dems and Pelosi and Reed more than any other Missouri Republican in Congress.

Does the media tell you the truth?

Emerson brings back millions in pork for the towns and special interests in the 8th district. She is one of the top ear markers in Congress.

This is very problematic for media to expose things like that and then sell newspapers and advertising. They find it is best just to go along to get along. It’s a cushy situation. Don’t make anyone mad, everybody gets their money and their ”favors” and the American taxpayer and your grandchildren get stuck with the tab. This is what is wrong in America. No one is speaking out, it’s always the other districts Congress person that is the problem, not yours.

My solutions? Get back the constitution. No bailouts. No cap and trade. No government takeover of healthcare. Uphold our second amendment gun rights. Protect the unborn, Pro Life. No more ”free trade” that has destroyed our jobs. Stop Spending so much money! Look out for the people that produce in America and help create a better environment for jobs and production. I don’t promise more spending. I do promise to do everything in my power to shrink government back into it’s constitutional constraints.

My 33 years of running my own private business in the 8th district give me the experience to know what is takes to keep jobs and create jobs here in Missouri. I know as an employer for many years the challenges small business owners and farmers face.

If you like the status quo just delete this. If you see something happening in America that is not good and want to restore our freedoms and our great country, just read the information on the Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson Tracker site.

I don’t have the million dollar campaign war chest by sucking up to every special interest I can. I want to represent you, the hard working forgotten working people in America. I won’t sell my soul to the special interests and labor unions.

I believe that when you realize how serious I am about this that you will want to help my campaign. I want to represent the farmers, seniors, teachers, factory workers, and the common men and women just like me that still long for freedom and prosperity for us and our families.

I believe we are about to lose our country that we know and love. Obama and company are fundamentally transforming our country… and not for the best. I believe we can take it back, but it is rapidly slipping away now. We must take back Congress in 2010! Put me there to fight for you! Put me there to fight for and uphold our Constitution!

The good book says “my people perish for lack of knowledge.” Read… and learn. The country you save may be your own.

Republican Candidate for Congress

This is why we have to elect people that have clue about how socialism and capitalism works.

Let’s see, give the bankers and insurance companies 700 BILLION DOLLARS because they failed!?! Thousands send faxes, emails, and make phone calls to try to stop Congress from doing it… We need to vote them ALL OUT — each and every one that voted FOR the wall street bailout, if we can. These are not the people we need to rebuild this country and take it back from the socialists!

My opponent, Representative JoAnn Emerson VOTED FOR THE BAILOUT, CASH FOR CLUNKERS, unbalanced budgets, NAIS FUNDING has all come through her AG Committee, TAX INCREASES, JOB DESTROYING TRADE AGREEMENTS, funding out of control regulatory agencies, and on and on!

Don’t be fooled again!

Most people are not aware of these facts, please pass this on to your friends. In my meetings around the district, I am finding even Republican committee people are not aware of these votes…

– Bob Parker

Dave Eberhart wrote an interesting article about Sen. John McCain’s appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” this weekend and revealed that he now regrets the Wall Street bailout.

McCain dropped a bombshell when revealing his thoughts on the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) that, among other things, green-lighted the federal government to bailout the floundering financial sector.

“What we’ve done, unfortunately, is we bailed out Wall Street, now they’re making billions, they’re making the deals, they’re giving the bonuses, and because they were too big to fail, we pumped – I don’t know, we still haven’t had a full accounting – into those major financial corporations and told financial institutions.”

In 2008 McCain voted for the TARP bailout, but now revealed his disappointment in how the bailout went down.

“We told them they were too big to fail,” McCain told King. “We told the guy on Central Avenue that just shut down his storefront that he’s too small to save. There’s something terribly wrong with that picture, and we were off on the wrong foot by bailing out these financial institutions instead of addressing the housing crisis. And Americans have figured it out and they’re very, very unhappy.”

A Texas County farmer will challenge U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson next year for the 8th District Seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Republican Bob Parker, 52, is a cattle farmer from Raymondville. Once a dairy farmer, he now raises beef cattle and sells real estate. He and his wife, Karen, have four children, four granddaughters and a grandson.

Parker was a Wichita, Kansas, native who moved to Missouri at age 19. He has served in elected positions on the school board and other local boards and is part of the Republican Central Committee in Texas County.

Although he has always been politically involved on a local level, Parker believes it is time for him to be a voice for conservatives in Congress.

“I’m very concerned about our country and the loss of freedoms,” Parker said. “When I heard about their proposal to bail out Wall Street and the insurance companies, I was outraged.”

Parker has been active in opposing animal identification legislation that would require livestock to have identifying chips imbedded in order to track individual animals in the event of a disease outbreak. He fears Missouri will soon make the program mandatory.

“This is one of the most intrusive programs for livestock that we’ve ever had,” Parker said. “I’m an old-fashioned conservative Constitutionalist. I believe in our Constitution and I don’t find the authority in the Constitution for the programs the government is coming up with.”

Parker said the influence multi-national and international corporations have on Congress concerns him. He decided he would campaign against Emerson because of her votes in favor of bailing out Wall Street financial firms. (Emerson voted in favor of the bailout in the fall, but voted against the second half of the plan in February.)

“I think our founding fathers would probably have picked up arms by now, given what’s going on in Washington right now,” Parker said.

HEADLINE: Salem, MO – [September 23, 2009] – Bob Parker says “We Have the Unalienable Right to Protect Life”

While speaking Monday evening at the Gun Rights Rally organized by Salem’s Patriots For the Constitution, 8th District Congressional Candidate Bob Parker shared his personal perspective on the Second Amendment.

As he addressed a group gathered at the Indian Hills Archery Range in Salem, he held up his well-worn 3030. Referring to it as his “truck gun”, he said, “This gun and I could tell some stories.” Purchased new when he was 18 years old, the gun nearly always stayed in his pickup truck on the farm, because “as soon as I took it in the house, that’s when I was going to find a coyote, something ready to hurt my livestock,” Parker said. An Eighth District rancher and farmer since moving to Missouri from Kansas over 30 years ago, Mr. Parker spoke of the Second Amendment right to own and use firearms, and referred to the inherent right to protect life.

“Our Founders said that we have these unalienable rights,” Parker continued, “And we have the right to protect life.”

He then turned to more general topics. Parker, a Republican candidate for Congress in 2010 for Missouri’s Eighth District U.S. House seat, elaborated on his motivations for entering politics.

“I think about the world my little grandkids are going to face, and it really sets me off.” Recently having celebrated the birth of his first grandson, Mr. Parker also has four granddaughters. “I’m 52 years old… maybe I can coast out of this thing by myself, but I’ve got kids and grandkids. Folks, whether you like it or not, you’re involved in the political process.”

Mr. Parker explained that he wanted to go to Washington because, otherwise, Washington was going to come and knock on his door.

“There is no question in my mind that if this Socialist/Marxist agenda in Washington is not stopped, they are going to knock on your door.”

As he recounted his experience recently at the Sikeston, MO 9/12 Rally, he described anti-bailout signs carried by protesters unaware that the Eighth District Representative had voted for the October “Bailout” Bill, authorizing the creation of, and initial funding for, the TARP plan.

“The media is not telling you how your representative is voting.”

As a noisy downpour continued overhead, Parker held up his truck gun.

“I love Missouri… I’m going to live here the rest of my life, Lord willing. I have the sweetest little wife, and I will do anything, anything, to protect my wife.”

I am finding out that most voters in the 8th district have no idea of these votes. As a matter of fact, I have discussed these votes with protesters carrying ”NO MORE BAILOUT” signs and they have no idea that these votes were cast and have said that Rep. Emerson would never have voted for a bailout.

Respectfully, they are wrong…

Sadly, the media is not reporting this and there have been no corrections from others that I have seen so far. I am forced to be the one to correct the record. Hopefully, many of you will help in the future to educate the voters of the truth.

Rep. Emerson has voted for the Banker Bailout [twice], Cash for Clunkers, Free trade deals that are destroying our JOBS here in America and on and on.

Please do everything you can to get this information out. If you can put a letter to the editor in your paper about it or send it to your email list that will be a huge help.

I consider these votes by anyone in either party to go against everything our country stands for. In America, we have a free market system and we should not shovel money to special interests, Big Bankers and Insurance companies!

These are not conservative or constitutional votes my friends!

You have a choice, a Representative that chooses to vote with the liberal agenda, or a person that will follow our constitution for a change…

Thanks for your help in setting the record straight!

Bob Parker for Congress, Missouri 8th district

P.S. If you would like to help with our campaign please contact me, we have a lot of work to do!
