Our Freedom. Too precious to lose…

I must say that running this campaign has been a challenge and we just have 3 months left to get out our message. To take on an incumbent of 14 years is a huge undertaking. I am a Tea Party style of candidate. I plainly say that BOTH parties are to blame for our problems. They have not followed the US Constitution and this has led to our huge problems we now face. Believe me, the last thing the big government Republican party bosses want is for me to win this race! The last thing the Democrats want is for me to win this race! We must cut spending, cut taxes, and cut regulations and return to a limited Federal Government just as our Constitution sets forth.

I have never shared what I am about to share, but I want you to know my heart, and my passion. I have watched for years as our government has ”gone global.” Our leaders have been putting Americans second and the interests of others first in many cases. I have seen our rural communities struggle and shrink, becoming more and more dependent on government handouts and ”programs” and ”grants”. We have shipped our jobs overseas and borrowed and printed money to take up the slack. Our leaders have failed us. We have been sold out. I am a Christian and I have not given up. I believe that God is raising up leaders from across this great nation to take our country back. Will you join me?

My faith is the number one thing in my life and has been since I became a Christian at age 18. That event transformed my life and instilled the values in me that helped me to succeed in life, and to speak out against injustice and oppression. I have stood on principal many times and have not backed down. I have no intention of doing that in Washington DC either. I want to fight for our God given freedoms, our right to life, our second amendment rights, property rights, and all the rest, before it is too late.

We have seen the growth of government at the expense of the private sector for years now. Do people realize that government does not produce anything? It just takes from those that are producing and gives to those that aren’t. That is why our founders wanted to keep government small. They understood this. Our leaders today don’t. Reagan’s quote of “government is not the solution to the problem, government is the problem,” has never been more true.

Friends, we are losing our country right before our very eyes now. I am calling for you to help me take our country back. I am calling on you to join with my campaign to fight this battle for our very principals and values that have made America so great. I have been speaking around the 8th district for 10 months now. My map has more than 60 pins in it marking the places I have spoken or done radio shows. I have done a lot with a little. We can and must win this race in the 8th district. We must remove the Bailout, Job killing free trade, Clunker, earmark, embryo killing incumbent that has helped to cause the massive problems we now face.

Did you know Emerson voted for the repeal of Glass/Stegall that led to the current banking crisis? Did you know that Emerson was the LAST Republican to sign onto the bill to audit the federal reserve? Did you know Emerson has taken over $700,000 from the bankers the last few years? Did you know that in the last election about 80% of her funding has come from OUTSIDE the 8th district? Did you know that Emerson is married to Ronald Gladney, a union attorney and lobbyist? Did you know that she is one of the top abusers of Earmarks in all of Congress? Did you know many of these earmarks directly profit the Unions? Did you know she is rated #9 WORST on the RINO chart in the ENTIRE Republican house according to the National Review because of her voting record? Did you know in a recent survey by the Missouri Sovereignty Project Emerson rated a 2 and I rated a 43, the higher the score the better you rank. I was by far the highest ranked in the survey out of 22 Missouri candidates. No one talks about the constitution and Missouri Sovereignty more than me.

Finally, I need your financial help to educate voters in the 8th district about who I am, and who I am running against. I desperately your help right now to print campaign materials and signs, not to mention any advertising. In most campaigns the special interests fund them and the candidates tell you what you want to hear and then go to Washington and work for the special interests. That is not how my campaign works. I depend on people like you for funds. Can you send me $20 bucks? Can you send more? I have raised over $12,000 so far and have about $3,500 on hand now. I need to print 4×8 signs, 100 signs will cost $3,000. I have hundreds of letters to send out now, not to mention advertising and radio ads and newspaper ads. As you can see, we need money. We must educate the voters about who I am, and who their Congresswoman is and how she has been voting.

Please send a generous donation to our campaign to take this country back. You can visit my website www.electbobparker.com and give by credit card, or log on and print off the questionnaire and mail it with your check to me at; Committee to Elect Bob Parker, 19438 Golden drive, Raymondville, MO. 65555 [no business check please, must be personal funds]

Please pray for our country and also for me and my family. Pray that God will keep us safe, and that we will prevail in the August 3, 2010 primary race, and then in the general election in November against Tommy Sowers, who loves Obamacare and is proudly saying it will be a good thing for America! I say, REPEAL IT!

Because America and your freedom are too precious to lose,

Farmington Tea Party

Tea Party rally planned for tax day

On Apr. 15 the St. Francois County Courthouse Annex parking lot will come alive with a tax day Tea Party. The event, titled “Born Free – Taxed to Death”, will begin at 6 p.m. and be hosted by the Tea Party Patriots of St. Francois County.

The event is free to the public and will include confirmed keynote speaker Dr. Angela Basham, and guest speakers District 8 Congressional candidate Bob Parker, District 8 Congressional candidate Larry Bill and Lee Reinitz among others.

Free copies of the Constitution will be given out while supplies last. Free balloons and face painting will be available for all the kids. Bumper stickers and Tea Party t-shirts will also be available.

A booth will be set up where a petition may be signed opposing the government takeover of healthcare. Another petition will propose the elimination of property tax and personal property taxes in the state of Missouri. The proposals will be discussed by the keynote speaker.

The St. Francois County Tea Party Patriots “We the People” group is part of a nationwide, non-partisan, grassroots movement of people who assure they are not extremists, racists or bigots. The events are not Democrat or Republican rallies, but geared toward the patriotism of the citizens of the United States and the right to assemble regardless of any party affiliation.

The right to assemble was established in the Constitution by the founding fathers of the United States.

The St. Francois County Tea Party Patriots meet the last Tuesday of every month at Warehouse BBQ at 6 p.m. The group We-the-People – St. Francois County can be found on Facebook.

Cleaning House in 2010, a Primer

Who knew?

While many of us were politically asleep, dragging ourselves to the polls to punch chads next to the ‘R’ for many years, the people who hate America were wide awake and using our great system to change America into something we don’t recognize. If you were asleep, don’t feel bad. You were not alone.

The recent suspension of the Scozzafava Campaign sends the message loud and clear that Barack Obama and his band of Progressives have awoken a sleeping giant.

If you’re like me — wondering where we go from here, I hope you’ll find my next series of posts educational and informative.

Let’s start with 2010: In short, we need to retain our current set of Conservatively voting Representatives and add a MINIMUM of 41 to their number.

To begin with, all of the Representatives in the House are up for re-election in 2010. This means that, in theory, it is a black-and-white fact that we can take back the house in 2010. Admittedly it will be a tall order. Of the 435 voting members, 177 are Republican. If there were no such thing as the Republican In Name Only (RINO), then simple math says we need to win 41 seats. Unfortunately, while we were asleep, the leaders of the GOP thought the smart thing to do was to cave to the Progressive movement and we now have approximately 30 R’s who (sometimes) vote like D’s. So we need to not only campaign against the D’s, but also the RINOs like Scozzafava. We also need to campaign FOR Conservatives. Personally, I don’t think most of us care if the winners are R’s or I’s or like I saw next to Hoffman’s name at one time (C’s) as long as they vote Conservative and do not cave to Progressives.

Of vital importance is: we need to donate our time and money across state lines. For too long I (and I suspect many reading this blog) felt like what happened in other states was each state’s own business and completely ignored what happened in other states. But, recent events in the NY23 special election prove that we have woken up. I donated to Doug Hoffman and I don’t live anywhere near NY. I also donated to Chris Christie, and Joe Wilson and don’t live in their states either. I’ve read the blogs on both the left and the right and this is ‘what it takes’ to win political power. While I don’t think it is what our Founding Fathers intended, it is a fact of life that the the laws written by our legislature are binding on us all. So please make time and money available to support those we want in office, and oppose those who we do not .

Next question: Who ARE the RINOs and Who ARE the true Conservatives?

RINOs: (note: I’m not saying these people are ALL bad. Many have voted very conservatively on issues important to us. However, they vote liberal often enough to be classified with liberal scores ranging for near 50 (on a scale of 1-100) at the top of this list (the worst offenders), to mid 30’s near the bottom of this list (the least offenders). If the only option is to keep them in, they are better than the Democrats. However, if there is a strong candidate who is more conservative, these people need to be carefully evaluated for replacement in 2010.)
