We Take America Back One Step at a Time
To my friends and Patriots in the cause,
Well, the 2010 primary election is over, the voters have spoken. Over 20,000 [35%] voters joined with our message to return to constitutional government and return to the principals and ideals that have made America so great. The word is that we have not lost, we have just taken another step in the fight to preserve our State and our Nation. The fight for freedom is never ”over”. It goes on as long as we do, and then we pass it on to our children and grandchildren to continue. 1/3 of the voters in the 8th district joined our cause. This has never happened before in this district. This was historic. Am I disappointed, yes, I wish we could have won this time. Am I cast down? No. It does not matter what happens, this race was never about Bob Parker, this race has always been about you, and your freedom.
It is you that must ultimately decide what will happen here. Will you allow the special interests and big donors to finance these campaigns of the professional politicians? Or will you continue to step up and get involved? We must not stop. We can not stop. America is freedom’s last stand.
The Republican party has chosen their candidate in the November 2nd elections.
As for me, I am going to take some time off, do some deer hunting this fall, get back to work on my farm and business, and hopefully have some great time afield this fall. Let’s stay engaged in this process. The Tea Party movement hopefully will continue to grow and get more organized. Thousands of Republican party members are concerned about the direction we are headed. We must all work together for the principals of freedom and liberty we believe in!
I am praying for direction. We have hundreds of contacts and supporters across this district. Please let me know you thoughts. What do we do to continue the fight?
Finally, we did not lose this election. The people that worked with us are not losers, they are winners! We won! We got the message out that has not been told. I am so proud of the thousands of people across this district that worked hard to get the message out. I have met so many awesome people across this district. God will not forget us. God continues to care for his people. It is up to us to bridge the gap.
I ran as hard as I knew how. I did all I could do. I so wanted to take this fight to Washington and fight for you there! Thanks so much to so many that worked in the heat and knocked on doors and made calls, etc. I am so proud of the great people that really stepped up!!!
Karen and I want you all to know how much we appreciate your prayers and support for us and our family!
Sincerely,
Bob Parker

We Take America Back one step at a time….
America, Politics and a Nation in Peril
By Bob Parker
A silent killer is strangling America. This killer has invaded every State, every county, every town and city. Every television set, radio network and yes, even your local newspaper office. Who is this killer? Greed… Power… Corruption… Influence. In a nutshell, it’s consolidated control of real information. This silent war is going on across the nation. It’s a war for your mind. Being a candidate for Congress has helped me understand this war on a personal level; but we all must understand it if we are to reclaim our freedom.
Problem number one… We have free speech, right? It’s guaranteed in the First Amendment. Yet where can we speak freely? In churches? No. In civic organizations? No. At political party events? No. We believe we have freedom of the press under the First Amendment. But the press is far from free, and very politically controlled. Do we get the full spectrum of truth through the evening news, national or local? No. How can a challenger to an incumbent expose voting records and facts about the incumbent when the political machine (described below) and media support the incumbent? How can you reach voters with the message that there is a viable alternative to the direction the country has been going? Problem number one has way more than one problem involved.
How can we solve the problem of getting accurate information into the hands of voters? We think it takes money and lots of it, right? That is definitely an issue, but those who want to control information want you to believe that the only cure is loads of cash. The cure is you.
The Political Machine Chews Up the Average Guy… and his lunch.
For the most part incumbents are tied into the vast financial resources of Political Action Committee’s called PACs. The incumbents are able to raise thousands of dollars for their campaigns by holding $1,000 per plate Washington D.C. dinners where they invite lobbyists to pay to be wined and dined by the candidate. It’s a win-win game for the participants. The candidate gets the money to use for re-election, and the lobbyists curry special favors from the candidate for supplying the funds to keep their powerful position. Congressmen then insert selected earmarks benefiting those the lobbyist represents thereby insuring they receive more money from unions, educators, financial investment firms and others. Also, the political parties invest large sums to purchase party loyalty and influence from the incumbents. The average voter is left out of the equation entirely.
Then the various media outlets profit from all these fund raising dinners and party funding mechanisms by selling ads to the chosen candidate. They are also accorded special favors from incumbents at times to help them with the federal agencies that oversee them.
This is the machine that is next to impossible for the average citizen to overcome. One who loves freedom, and wants accurate information so they can make wise decisions yet needs to work full time to keep food on the table and a roof over their head, is faced with a full time job just in trying to get accurate information.
This machine is why the system has become so corrupt. One hand washes the other and the money, lots of it taxpayer money, keeps changing hands within the same circle. Will it ever change? Can it ever change?
The upcoming 2010 elections are interesting because we have some new players on the field. There are thousands of fed up citizens with no loyalty to parties, just loyalty to principle. What’s happened is that there is a now a new avenue for a political message to be presented. Freedom candidates have been springing up across America like dandelions in a spring lawn, and many have been winning in the primaries. People are able to learn about candidates that represent their interests instead of the bought and paid for political machine. There should be some new faces taking the reins of power away from the politically entrenched dynasties we’ve become accustomed to in this country. However, should this movement allow itself to be divided or co-opted, we won’t see the candidates who will stand on principle be elected in November.
The attacks on the Tea Parties are growing. The establishment realizes that they must divide and silence the message, or face a serious threat to its power and control. Who will win? Only time will tell. But don’t expect to hear much from Tea Party style candidates on the TV. Amazingly, the largest populist movement in recent history just can’t get coverage.
Evidently demonstrating their loyalty to those revenue streams of the political machine, mainstream media does not cover Tea Parties. At least not if they can help it. Before I even became a candidate, I attended and spoke at many Tea Parties. I’d really have to strive to count the number of Tea Party events I’ve attended, but I have never seen a television report on a single one. There have been a few newspaper reports here and there, but for the most part, the media silence is deafening. There have even been reports by television stations in this district talking about how the Tea Party will affect the congressional race here. Yet they never mention who the “Tea Party” candidate is. They do mention the incumbent, who has never spoken at a Tea Party, even though invited, and they mention the other party’s candidate. From what I hear elsewhere in the nation this is typical. The establishment candidates benefit from “freedom of the press” and the freedom candidates remain a mystery to the voters that would support them. The machine works in support of those who support the machine.
When called and asked why they would do a report one week before a primary race and mention only the Republican incumbent and the Democratic nominee for the general election in November they said if the challenger won the Party nomination in the primary they would be sure to report it.
Fair and balanced? To whom?
The establishment Party (either one) and the Media are completely disrespectful of the voters in this country. Principles are nothing compared to profit.
So what can we do? We can use the tools available, like the internet, and spread information about candidates to others in our area by word of mouth. We still have the truth on our side. It’s the mightiest weapon of all, and it must be used. Use those tools, and vote in your primary for the candidate that stands for individual freedom, and against corporate larceny. The solution to the machine is in your hands at the polls — in the Primary!
Non-establishment candidates like myself have taken their message to the people. We’ve driven the districts on our own dime and attended every function humanly possible. Despite media black outs, establishment pressure, a wrecked economy, and the occasional headache, we’ve remained engaged in a fervent attempt to take our country back… To freedom.
- Bob Parker is running for Congress in Missouri’s 8th district. He is running against a 14 year incumbent that raised nearly 80% of her campaign funds outside her district in the last election.

Bob Parker: A Man With A Message
Bob Parker, a Texas County rancher, looks out over his herd of Corriente cattle at his ranch near Raymondville, MO. Parker hopes to unseat Jo Ann Emerson as Missouri’s 8th District representative in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take everything you have.”
That famous quote by Thomas Jefferson has enjoyed a renewed popularity recently, in light of the massive growth of the federal government over the last few years. In fact, the quote sits at the top of the main page of Bob Parker’s campaign website, and if you had to summarize Parker’s campaign message into a few words, it would come very close to that quote by Thomas Jefferson. Parker believes that the U.S. government has grown too large and too intrusive, and he is on a mission to take his message to Washington.
The 53 year old rancher from Texas County is running for the United States Congress in Missouri’s 8th District, the position currently held by incumbent Jo Ann Emerson. Missouri’s 8th District is comprised of 28 Missouri counties, and is one of the 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives.

Tea Party Endorses Parker for US Congress!
While most of Missouri’s Tea Parties are reticent to offer endorsements, Tea Parties in other states have endorsed several winning freedom candidates. The Sikeston Tea Party has taken the admirable position of being the first to come forward and endorse Bob Parker, a true Constitutional Conservative, for Congress in the 8th District Republican race.

Bob says, “I’ve spoken at many Tea Party events across the district, and at every one of them. I’m encouraged by the number of people who are shaking off the illusion that Party leadership has been doing a good job of picking their representatives”
In their release regarding their pick of Parker over establishment pick Emerson, the Sikeston Tea Party says,
“Bob has proven in the last several months that he truly cares about the constituents he hopes to represent, and we want to send him to Washington!”
A representative of the Sikeston Tea Party says, “We proudly give our endorsement to Bob Parker. He is a true conservative, Christian, pro life Republican, and he stands for the principles of freedom that America was founded upon. Everyone should take the opportunity to hear Bob speak and listen to his plans to take America back!”
The Tea Party Movement has become a force to be reckoned with across the nation. In a recent Rasmussen poll they stated that 43% of Missourians see the Tea Party movement as positive for America. Missouri has 8% more voters than other states who define themselves as “Tea Party Voters”. This populist conservative movement is certain to be a factor in Missouri’s August 3rd Primary Elections.

Parker for Congress opens new headquarters in 8th district
Missouri’s 8th Congressional district; Surrounded by enthusiastic campaign volunteers and family members, Bob Parker cut a ribbon, symbolizing the official opening of his campaign headquarters on the east side of the square in Mountain Grove this morning.
Initially, the headquarters will be open from noon to 5pm on Thursdays & Fridays and 8am to noon on Saturdays. Anyone desiring information regarding Bob’s positions on issues and/or his reasons for running in this election is encouraged to stop in and visit with the friendly volunteers who will be staffing the headquarters. The office will also serve as a convenient supply depot for campaign volunteers on the western side of the district. Visitors to the headquarters will find plenty of parking right at the door.
Parker, a rancher from Raymondville, is challenging 14 year Republican incumbent Jo Ann Emerson for U.S. Representative from Missouri’s 8th Congressional District in the Republican primary election on August 3rd. Bob Parker is a strong pro-life, pro-gun, Constitutional, Christian, Conservative. To find out more about Bob Parker please log on to his website at www.electbobparker.com
In his brief remarks this morning, Parker noted that the campaign is gaining momentum all over the district. He commented that people are fed up with the politics of Washington D.C. And are seeking a major change.
He said, ”America is at a crossroads. Will we begin to take back our country back by voting out these big spending Republicans in the upcoming primaries, or will we continue to re-elect the people that keep voting for bailouts, clunkers, earmarks, and more big government? We need jobs, not handouts and more debt. I say it’s time for ‘We the People’ to rise up and take America back and tell Washington that we have had enough!”
He reiterated that he is a resident of the district – that he has lived and worked in the 8th district for 33 years – and, therefore, he understands the needs of Southern Missouri. Parker closed the gathering in prayer and then spent some time chatting with those in attendance.

Emerson Votes to Bail Out Union Pension Funds
Fox News still calls the legislation that Rep. Jo Ann Emerson co-sponsored a bailout and refuse to retract the story. Emerson denies this is a bailout. If the U.S. taxpayers take responsibility for failing pension funds, what do you call it?
For the record, Emerson’s 2006 letter explaining the Animal Id program was ”all voluntary” is fact. It took her 5 years to figure that program out after years of mis-information from her office. This was clearly stated in the 2005 USDA draft plan documents that the program would be going ”Mandatory” in 2009. Many people have spent years fighting this program with ZERO help from Emerson until January of this year, now that she is in a primary battle for re-election. The implementation of NAIS has been delayed because of massive opposition to this program from across the country.
For the record, Emerson voted for the repeal of Glass-Stegall that most now say led to the banking crisis by allowing banks to gamble with your money.
For the record, Emerson still denies that NAFTA and CAFTA have destroyed our manufacturing jobs. I think the record is clear on what that has done to our jobs in America.
For the record, in January of 2010 Emerson did a press release that NAIS [animal id] was dead. Two weeks later she issued a press release that she is fighting this horrible program. She did this after I explained to her and a crowd in Dexter Missouri that the program had just been re-named.
For the record, whatever you call HB 3936 that Emerson has co-signed, the taxpayers will be paying Billions to ‘’save” these failing pension funds if this passes.
Had enough yet Missouri?
